Snow cycling! + a Janathon wrap-up

Colleen and I took turns on the bike, riding ahead and then coming back to the person who was walking or jogging.

Sunday was the perfect combination of snow and not-very-cold temperatures to take the mountain bike out for a spin. Colleen and I took turns on a nearby gravel road, and it was a blast – except for the fact that Colleen’s stress fracture is acting up again, which cut our session a bit shorter than it might have been otherwise.

It would’ve been the perfect ending to Janathon, if it hadn’t been Feb. 1. Here’s a look at how Janathon wrapped up:

Jan. 28 — 7-mile run in the neighborhood

Jan. 29 — 5.6 mile trail run with my sister

Jan. 30 — swimming with Colleen (first time in 2015)

Jan. 31 — 25-minute treadmill run

Don’t you love Colleen’s cool goggles?

Thanks. I did check out your blog, and interestingly enough, I happen to have a 17-year-old who’s completely enthralled with preworkout. I’ll have to direct him to your post.

Goggles are nice, but I liked that you were out jogging and riding in weather that required them. Too cool.

oh brrrrrr. 🙂 Swim day for me! -2F with wind chills in the negative double digits!

Yeah, it’s cold here now too. But when we went out yesterday it right around 32 degrees without much wind at all. Can’t get much better than that in a snow storm!
