Yesterday I RAN 2 miles without walking! I felt really pumped. My thinking was that I kept running past the animal sculpture at the half mile mark — where I usually walk — and after I got past that point it wasn’t as hard to just keep going. Also mom was talking about getting new running shoes so my mind wasn’t really on the run.
I am really excited to start cross-country! In middle school we run a 3K, which is 1.9 miles. Now that I can do that without stopping I feel more confident, even though I am still slow.
