I’ve gotten on this kick where every Wednesday I eat nothing but baked potatoes. I love potatoes, so I find it both satisfying and simplifying to just grab one whenever I feel hungry. (I bake a big crock of them first thing in the morning, and then reheat them with toppings for our family’s dinner.) I eat mine plain, except for one that I top with broccoli and queso or cottage cheese.
Despite the poor spud’s reputation as a carb criminal, I’m almost always down a pound or two the next day. I suspect I wind up eating less overall because of the limited selection.
