When I go to the Y, my brother Ben is a great weights trainer.
For starters, I warm up with 10 12.5 pound curls. After that I do 10 7.5 pound lat raises. Next I do 3-2-1 on the bench press, which is 3 reps at 45 pounds, 2 reps at 55 pounds, and 1 rep at 60 pounds. I can’t do very much because I just started. But Ben says I’m already improving because at first all I could do was lift the bar.
Somewhere in there I do some squats and some other stuff. The hardest part is forearms, which is when I grab a 10-pound plate and move my wrists back and forth for 2 minutes. He says this is good for softball. Ben is a great trainer who pushes me very hard. Sometimes he makes me mad, but he always makes me do a good workout.
