A great ‘ice cream diet’ find

Here’s the perfect find for a heat wave “ice cream diet” day: Meijer brand knockoffs of Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches, at slightly fewer calories and half the price. (This week, at least.)

Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches are a tasty use of 140 calories and 4 Weight Watchers points plus, but they usually cost around $5 for a package of six or so.

The Meijer Slender Selections ice cream sandwiches we sampled yesterday tasted just as good — better, Ben said — but only cost $2.50 for a box of six. They’re also 4 Weight Watchers Points Plus, though they contain 10 fewer calories.

  1. I find it so hard NOT to have some frozen delight in the summer (i’m partial to fro yo with cacao nibs)! Yum!

I’m eating a ridiculous amount of ice cream this summer with all this heat (or just because I’m weak.) Keep thinking I ought to switch out more frozen fruit concoctions, or some of those awesome smoothies you post every so often…
